The government of Norway abruptly announced that they would be lifting all social distancing rules, capacity limits on businesses and other pandemic restrictions. This approach was taken after their cases had dropped by 50% in the last two weeks. They’ve requested the public to get vaccinated, stating that the pandemic was still not over and that “people will still get sick.”    With 67% of their population fully vaccinated, Norway is seeing their largest spike in cases this month. Yet the reasoning to this sudden decision is quite alarming as it isn’t due to high vaccination rates or the number of cases decreasing but solely due to the fatigue in the public with the constant lifting and placing of restrictions the Prime Minister states that there is a lack of normalcy.
